Crinkle Crags

Actually, the odd thing about climbing a particular mountain is that you can’t really photograph it – because you’re on it. But the view from Crinkle Crags must be one of the best in the Lake District. I know I’ve said that before about Helvellyn, Fairfield, Seat Sandal and Bowfell (at least), but this time it’s true!

You’ve got Langdale, the Eastern fells and eventually the Pennines to the East; Bowfell and far beyond even Skiddaw and Blencathra to the North; South are the Coniston Fells – Wetherlam, Swirl How, Old Man etc.; and west lies the Atlantic Ocean (Irish Sea?) beaches, beyond Eskdale and the Scafells. On a clear day like yesterday you can see all of this. It makes the slog up there worth every step.
